Today – just three weeks since celebrating our one-year anniversary on July 1 – we filled our one hundred thousandth barrel at Whiskey House! We would like to thank our incredible team, vendors, and customers for helping us achieve this symbolic milestone that comes shortly following our bi-annual maintenance shutdown. Between June 10th and July 7th, when we resumed 24/7 production, we were hard at work completing annual certifications, implementing software upgrades, conducting mandatory training, and even having some fun together.
The team, along with many outside vendors, literally took apart the entire facility and put it back together, upgrading, repairing, and cleaning every aspect of the system to ensure we provide the highest-quality whiskey for our customers. The following is a brief summary of the many activities that took place:
- Preventative maintenance on all equipment and critical systems.
- Annual equipment calibrations, inspections, repairs, and permitting.
- Process and process utility deep cleans.
- Technology upgrades on all manufacturing systems.
- Oil and water, pneumatic, corrosion, critical spare parts, and business continuity analysis.
- Organoleptic sensory, IMS, EHS, QA, HR, Security, IT, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and Chat GBT Enterprise training.
- Full barrel warehouse physical inventory review and reconciliation.
- System and equipment warranty checks.
- Moonshine University conducted on site specialized education for the entire Whiskey House Team.
- Annual safety, operations, and cybersecurity training.
- Employee and family appreciation day at Kentucky Kingdom.
Over the course of the last twelve months, in the face of some very turbulent times in the whiskey industry, we’ve built a truly remarkable business – one that is reshaping the contract whiskey market. We could not be more grateful for the dedication, confidence, and support of everyone who’s helped create this unique place. The future is bright for Whiskey House and the American whiskey industry! Thank you.
