Privacy Policy
Who we are
This website is operated by Whiskey House of Kentucky. If you have a question about this policy, or about information we hold about you, email contact@whiskeyhouse.com.
What we collect
Only what you choose to send us. The enquiry form on our contact page asks for your first and last name, your email address, your telephone number if you wish to give one, and your message. Nothing else on this site asks you for personal information, and there is no account to create.
What we do with it
We use your enquiry to reply to you and to keep a record of the conversation. It is stored in our database, and a copy is emailed to our team so that someone sees it. We do not add you to a marketing list unless you ask us to, and we do not sell your information or share it for anyone else's advertising.
What we do not do
This site sets no advertising or analytics cookies, runs no tracking pixels, and does not build a profile of you. We do not use Google Analytics or any comparable service. If you never contact us, we hold no personal information about you at all.
Cookies
Browsing this site sets no cookies. Whiskey House staff signing in to the content management system receive a session cookie that keeps them signed in; it is never set for visitors.
Embedded content from other websites
Some pages include video hosted by Vimeo and a brochure viewer provided by Issuu. When you play a video or open the brochure, that provider receives your IP address and may set its own cookies, exactly as though you had visited their website directly. What they do with it is governed by their own privacy policies. We embed no advertising or social media trackers.
Server records
Our hosting provider keeps ordinary web server logs, including the pages requested, the time of the request, and the IP address it came from. These are used to keep the site running, secure, and performing properly.
Who processes information for us
We use a small number of service providers, each acting on our instructions: Vercel hosts the website and stores its images; Neon provides the database that holds enquiries; and Resend delivers the notification email. We share your information with them only so that they can provide those services to us.
Where your information is held
Those providers process information in the United States. If you contact us from outside the United States, your information is transferred there.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for as long as we need them to deal with your request and to maintain our ordinary business records, and delete them when they are no longer needed. You can ask us to delete yours sooner.
Your rights
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email contact@whiskeyhouse.com and we will respond. Depending on where you live you may have further rights, including under the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation or the California Consumer Privacy Act, and we will honour those.
