Despite much of the overhyped and exaggerated negativity in the press about the status of American Whiskey, there are many encouraging signs indicating the underlying strength of the industry. The light at the end of the tunnel appears to be getting closer. At Whiskey House, we’re certainly seeing more momentum in the marketplace.
Even though there is excess whiskey on the market, we’re witnessing an increasing desire for brands to create highly customized products. We’re also seeing new customers come into the Whiskey House program not only because of the exceptional quality of our liquid and the flexibility in our production, but also because customers want an independent, long-term partner that is solely focused on their needs.
The following is a list of some of our most significant accomplishments in the 2nd quarter of 2025:
- Continue to exceed production targets in thefirst and second quarters.
- Since January, produced more than 47k barrels, including 19 mashbills and 45 production runs.
- Produced just shy of 100k barrels since the start of operations on July 1, 2024, which includes 56 mashbills and 59 unique recipes for some of the best brands and largest spirits companies in the world.
- Over the course of the last two weeks, produced 11 different mashbills, including three high-rye bourbons, three wheated bourbons, one four-grain bourbon, one non-GMO bourbon, two rye whiskies, and an American single malt, all with different recipes, comprising varying grain profiles, cook times, yeast strains, enzymes, and lengths of fermentation.
- Hired our 69th employee, bringing our sanitation services completely in house. This is part of our commitment to provide the cleanest, food-grade distillery in the United States.
- On track to complete our Integrated Management ISO certification for 9001, 14001, and 45001 in 2025. We will be the first distillery in the world to receive seven ISO certifications, including 22000, 17025, 2018 FSSC, and ISO/IEC 27001.
- Started construction on rickhouses 5 & 6 with our new construction partner Koetter Construction.
We have a busy scheduled maintenance shutdown starting on June 10th. During this period, we’ll accomplish the following:
- Annual equipment calibrations, inspections, maintenance, and repair.
- Moonshine University conducting specialized education for entire Whiskey House Team.
- Comprehensive review and training on latest Microsoft tools and updates, including those for Teams, SharePoint, and others.
- Chat GPT Enterprise rollout and refresher training.
